Yes, this is an animal, but it has a 'concept' to it so it's here.

A baby mouse. I found it by my door, aimlessly wandering around, barely able to walk. Due to the fact that it was so young, and shouldn't have been out of it's hiding place, we came to the conclusion that it must've been starving due to a missing Mother mouse. I'm sure it was orphaned, because we had just recently caught a few mice in our mousetraps (one of them most likely being the mother).

Yeah, I know it's just a mouse. It would've grown up to pester us, and create more mice to pester us. But seeing this little guy (who was probably only about half the size of my thumb) crawling around searching for anything other than the loneliness,.... I couldn't help but really feel for him. So sad looking, and yet so incredibly cute the way that young things are. I tried to give him a chance, gave him a milk/water mix and some peanut butter before dumping him in the woods, as the others had demanded (I lied and said I did, when I really put him in the backyard shed with more milk and peanut butter)...

Yeah it's just a mouse, but it's still a living creature. And by 'catching' it's mother, we unwittingly doomed it to die alone, cold, and hungry, which is a horrible way to pass for anything...

By the way, so no one jumps to any conclusions, THIS IS NOT A PICTURE OF A DEAD ANIMAL. The mouse was very much alive at this point, just tired. It was around the same time I gave it milk and played with it a little. I put it in the shed to give it a chance to survive, and the next day I found that it had passed.

That looks like a baby deer-mouse. They are not the same as house mice.
